General Meeting followed by speaker at 7:30.

Susan Miller- 18 year Master Gardener, on Dwarf conifers.

I took an MPA degree from UW that led me to the Cities of       Bellingham, Santa Monica, CA, Bothell, Walla Walla, and           finally the City of Seattle.

Now I’m retired with my husband and my Spanish mare           on a horse farm in Redmond.

I stopped working in an office and now work the soil and love it. I amend it with rotted horse manure which conifers sadly don’t love, but I wish they would. 20 yrs as a Master Gardener and I’m good guiding client plant resolutions and speaking to clubs on Black and Gold plants, climate change, and soil. The dwarf Conifer addiction came as winter deciduous trees and perennials cast gloom over my color passion. I was delighted to find plants that held year-round color, even turning golden in the winter. I write on gardening and climate change, and now Firewise horticulture, and chair a Climate Committee in Fall City. I’m obsessed with our world effort to hold our world temp increase to 1.5* Celsius, despite the indifference of Russian, Chinese, and U.S. coal expansion. The great COP26 convocation of climate and world leaders in Glasgow will be very telling.

In person at Snohomish Senior Center masks required. Or attend by Zoom.
